Under normal use the Chalkshot pen will give the user over 250 shots per pen

YES – the pen has a safety lock that prevents the cartridge from accidental discharge.
- Pull the pen tip out and twist to engage the locking tab
- Rotate the tip of the pen until the locking tab engages the slot and push down
The lock on the side of the pen is probably engaged… twist the pen top until the locking tab slides into the slot allowing the pen to fire.
